Frequency Interception

Hey guys

So at some point you probably noticed on your phone a message along the lines that this devices must accept all types of interference, even if it creates an undesired effect.

My question is, how is this interference intercepted by the device, and out of curiosity, what equipment would a person need to see the frequencies being broadcasted around them and the range of the broadcast?
A spectrum analyzer is what can show you the frequencies being broadcast in an area. Determining range is very complicated because it's a function of power and environmental conditions. You can estimate power at multiple receiver locations and then extrapolate the data to roughly estimate distances.

Or a cheap SDR + GnuRadio to find frequencies. Though you are 100% accurate on determining range. Another issue is building antenna's designed specifically for the frequency you are attempting to listen too as this can be a bit tricky when first getting into HAM

Greetings.

The cellphones are working in the band 2.4GHz but the new ones can work in the range of 5GHz for better signal gain.
There is a rule in ANY emitter circuit, for any frequency you produce you will have harmonic frequencies with your signal, so...
If the vendor of the device has not include to the circuit a harmonic filter (SHF filter) the device of 5GHz can give a harmonic frequency of 8GHz or much more...
Of course the microwave antenna of the provider company is not able to "read" this frequency, there are others who can, (special army units of electronic war).
If you want to measure these harmonics you need a very expensive lab oscilloscope with a special frequency devisor terminals.

Best regards.

take a look at DragonOS + a cheap rtl-sdr stick🙂
