Alright guys, I think it's time to discuss the risks of buying altcoins which have 50-800M market caps.
Till now we saw Chainlink,Kyber Network,Compound,0x,UMA and many others projects in a huge bull-run.
To all cryptonewbies that you think that you can be easily rich by investing in high-risk pumps guess what, markets of these coins can go down too!
Today we saw Bitcoin dump 2-5% and meanwhile these altcoins dump 5-30%.
Spoiler (Click to View)
These ''coins-schemes'' as I already said many times are premined by developers by 30-40% of total supply, some whales pump these coins so these can seem promising in investing.
But obviously all the whales who put money in these coins want to MAKE MONEY. They don't really care if it's new technology or something like it, once they invest 100M and coin pump to 200M all they see is that they just doubled their money. You would do the same and it's 100% normal. If btc go to 100,000$ I'll sell few coins too, doesn't matter if I love/trust this technology, I'll sell to buy a new house, new car with shitty-fiat. To be honest if I can buy the same house with Bitcoin I would do it 100% but it is what it is, in most of the countries you aren't able to do it so you would sell too.
It DOESN'T MATTER if the whitepaper of these coins are very interesting. That happened once with Bitcoin. Bitcoin managed to grow up in a very unique enviroment when NOONE trusted in this technology and NOONE believed that it'll survive.
There isn't a next Bitcoin. Bitcoin is one and only. I could say the same for Ethereum even if a large amount of ether was premined.
Just to be clear, obviously good profit can be made by investing in altcoins but you'll have to take the risk cause you might also lose your money. It's very close to gambling.
For those who believe that they can invest in an altcoin and that it'll become the next Bitcoin I hardly suggest you to see this video:
