I have seen a lot of new things popping up around Twitter cancelling other people for their past and stuff like that. I have also seen Skai Jackson, an adult, dox a minor for saying the n word 28w before the she doxed him. So what do you guys think about cancel culture?

Cancel culture is lowkey toxic. I'm not against the idea of no longer supporting someone for actions that may be extreme, but people are generally quick to "cancel" someone way before knowing the extent of the full story. It's almost as if people are looking for the next thing to lash out against/punish as a form of self-project something deeper inside.
I think there should be more reflection within the individual, and actions/decisions should be more private.

Um black people were canceled for like 400 years so i mean... i think they will be ok
I think it's dumb. A lot of stuff that get's pulled up is ancient.
An example would be if you looked at all my posts from 2011 on here.
Then you judge something from when I was almost 10 years younger.
I've personally changed a lot and I think a lot of times this is true of these people.
As far as doxing I think that's funny since you know it's so normal on here.
If I got doxed I wouldn't care and probably get them doxed and get a restraining order and report them for harassment.
Online laws are much stronger than they once were I think that if you just used the law to your advantage it would work easier.
In the words of my friend, "I pay taxes just call the cops". I always think that's funny but true.

I tend to agree with this. The 'woke left' and the 'alt-right' are each other's biggest enablers. A lot of it is just shit-posting on twitter, and nobody really cares about that, until it starts to seep into normal life.
JK Rowling being an example - I don't know what she did exactly (am too lazy to find out) that got her 'cancelled', but whatever it was, if attacking someone who seems like a nice person who wrote a bunch of children's books and then dares to have an opinion that differs slightly from yours is how you choose to spend your day, you've got problems.
And who hasn't said something inappropriate, or unfortunate, or that they are ashamed of? We all have. It's just most of us are lucky enough that it isn't available for anyone to resurrect and beat us with.
I agree, a lot of these 'cancel' people are just on the lookout for something/someone to be outraged about, because it makes them feel important. Not good enough, and I think normal calm sensible people need to reclaim the world, quickly.
Oh my god cancel culture is the stupidest thing I've ever heard of and I think it comes down to the world becoming too damn sensitive. I'm big into the comedy scene and it's becoming more and more difficult to tell jokes as no matter what you say, somebody will be offended. Jokes are JOKES, they're supposed to be funny and shed light on some controversial topics/darker subjects.
As an example, if you're transgender, I understand that you'd like to be called by x pronoun, and I will gladly do that. BUT, that doesn't mean nobody can make jokes about it just because you changed your gender. Again, I respect whatever you want to do, but jokes are jokes.
Also, a 'joke' is different that being a dick or being a racist.
Take this video as an example:
Dave Chappelle approaches it perfectly - he JOKES about cancel culture and even says the n word with a hard r, but we can all tell he's joking about it. A comedians job is to make you laugh - don't interfere with it even if the jokes offend you as after all, they are jokes.
I know cancel culture is way more broad than affecting comedy, but wanted to share my outlook on it in regards to comedy because it's absolutely ridiculous.

Cancel culture is a cancer and should be dealt with. If any of you participate it in then please get fuckt - Witchhunting people for something they said 10 years ago should just get you laughed at and ignored.

Not a fan of cancel culture, a lot of the abuse that comes with it is often worse than the actual act that was committed in order for that person to be 'cancelled' anyway.
