Best multiplayer games to play w/ friends?

Hello,

I am in need of some assistance. I have a fairly old PC that I'll be gaming from and I'm on a lookout for fun to play games w/ friends of mine.

Specs are as follows:

Asus Z77 mobo
3rd-gen i5 at 3.something ghz, not a K edition, can't recall the model and not currently at home
8GB of DDR3 RAM
R9 380 4GB vRAM
240GB SSD, but also have an external HDD so space shouldn't be a problem

Based on that, what games would you folks recommend that are actually interesting to play?
Don't have to be genre-specific, just have to be fun to play on a casual level.
I'm kinda done with LoL, as they banned my account for the use of scripts(?), while I haven't actually been using it for 2 years.. A collection of some of the rarest skins this game had, went along with it..

Never played "Among us", but it looks like something that will oversaturate in 2 days tops.

Huge thanks to everyone in advance for the feedback.
Cheers,
Mario

Among Us has been pretty fun with my group of 6-10 friends that are online every other day, and we started playing about a month ago. Have yet to touch public matches. Knowing shit about your friends and how they behave can make the game interesting/funny af lol. It'll probably get old eventually, but the game is getting updates soon as well. At the moment, it can be pretty boring being an innocent (crewmate) all night.

I've sunk more hours into Gears 5 in a short amount of time than any game I can recall playing on PC, but honestly it's cuz I'm a one-track freak. Last two weeks have seen 83 hours, and I have 2351 total since launch. Lots of PC gamers tend to turn away from the Gears of War series cuz it's not an FPS, and it's not like the traditional 3rd-person shooter, either. Casual versus would be in Quickplay, but Ranked with your friends would be fun as well; alone... not so much. There's different modes like Horde and Escape which will offer new players an interesting challenge, and they're pretty unique to the game.
Changed my username 7/6/18.
Posting here for future reference because I am also looking for recommendations and did not want to make another thread.

Among Us seems to have been taking the top charts recently, but I agree that it may become oversaturated on a personal level within a day or 2.
I highly recommend Among Us even though you think it will become boring in a day or two. I thought the exact same, but finally gave it a chance. It's actually really fun once you get good at it and start playing it in a competitive but still fun way.
Among us is definitely a great game, but Dead by daylight has been my game with friends, CD keys are super cheap and its cross play on console.
