I opened paypal dispute, I need advice

tl;dr I got scammed by this guy (no this wasn't anyone on HF before anyone asks), so I paid him on paypal by invoice. Guy told me to mark the payment as received in order to get my online services as he needed the money upfront.

The dude starts acting fishy. I know how these scammers move, he was making up too many excuses to offer a refund and I decided open a case in the resolution center on the invoice. I included screenshots on the case of the guy trying to ask for more money in order to get what I already paid for, making up excuses on instagram dms.  So I gotta wait a few days until I can escalate this with paypal.

Basically im probably not seeing my money for weeks. I think I should be able to get back. Worse comes to worse should I chargeback off my credit card? Or would that fuck my paypal account?

Thanks in advance brothers
PayPal usually fucks sellers if there's a dispute. You paid for goods and services and can provide proof the guy isn't delivering what's promised so you should win this.

It was a blast being on staff. I stepped down as it's time for me to move on. I wish you all the best and if you were hit by my warnings and/or bans, it was nothing personal.

Peace out!
Unless he could prove that he has delivered the product or rendered the service he was supposed to, you will win it easy. Although, if he is wise enough, he will refund it before it gets escalated/reviewed by paypal. Don't chargeback your credit card though, it will certainly fuck up your pp.

You will get your money back 99% if he is not able to prove that he delivered the goods or service.
If you paid for goods and the seller isn't able to upload any proof of shipping, you will be refunded.
I had this many times before and always a success. Just be careful with fake receipts being uploaded as PayPal can be tricked easily with the "unauthorised" payments and the fake receipts.

Scammers should lose a finger for each buck they steal.. anyways, good luck!
