Base on the little knowledge I know about affiliate it all comes down to micro niche, dedicating to one specific niche & stick my advice is use google trends to find what people are searching for find a niche there & use pinterest to grow an audience around that niche then profits will start coming in...

no not as far as your audience are form the USA you are good to go.
