[Authy app] can admin of a site change the 2FA from a user from Authy to SMS 2FA?

like for example, suppose you have a account of reddit and you secure it with Authy 2fa.

And suppose reddit has some ticket support email and you ask them to change the Authy 2fa to SMS 2fa.

Is it technically possible for a reddit admin to do this for a user?

Assuming that the user already has SMS 2FA set up to begin with

They can, but they won't. Unless protocol specifically says otherwise.

One of my clients, a certain US-based telecom company, allows for password reset over a phone call, but there's an actual step-by-step protocol to be strictly followed.

As for Authy, I don't know, but if they do, there's going to be strict rules for it, I'm sure.
