Where do I start learning about internet security?

Hi everyone, quick question here. I want to become more secure on my device and really want to learn about privacy and how to not let everyone see who and where I am! Can anyone give me some advice as to where to start? I know about VPNs and Tor and such, but I want to start learning about becoming invisible in a sense.
My advice would be to look at the opposite side of the coin. If you want to become "invisible" then start by learning what you broadcast out and how other parties can identify you. Once you understand the tools and techniques in place to keep track of you, you can learn how to avoid those being applied to you.

The easiest way to spot this within your own network is to check the adds you are being presented with. The more relevant they are to you, the better the profile and browser fingerprinting has done to identify who you are and what you are likely to buy. Personally I love it, they find much better deals for me than the ones I find myself. Depending on your use case, mileage will vary.

Hi,

Would this be in an offensive posture or a defensive posture?

If you're talking about defense in general, you'll want to search for the term OpSec. We have a subforum for that here.

Somewhat on-topic: InfoSec Blogs
