Any advice on growing an Instagram? (streetwear)

I started a streetwear brand by myself last year after leaving a different brand that I helped start.

Currently under 1k followers (400 ish) and I just want to know really

1. What would make you want to follow a brand's page. Anything from Nike/Adidas to Palace/Supreme (Or even like Cav-Empt, Bape, CDG, BrainDead, etc)?

2. If an unpopular/unknown brand reached out to you on IG what's the chance you would reply back on a message bout feedback?
The best way to grow an instagram is paid promos from bigger pages in the same niche
Give out clothes to people to promote it.

Get on [BRAND NAME REMOVED]/snapchat and find some models to promote it in exchange for free clothing

Gotten a couple good looking friends and coworkers to model

so far I've had 4 models/shoots.

someone gave me an idea to make a catalog/magazine so ive been doing that now (its cheap)

ima do that forsure. sending some free clothes to UK to a girl, homie in florida, and an old friend in cali.

all supposed to do their own pictures for me.

its hard as i dont look as it as a business so i spend so much of my money investing in designs, tags, sewing machine, sample apparel, printing, stickers, ect

i probably should lol
I don't think it will work as good as it used to be, but try to grow child accounts by automating them and use them to grow your brands page. Just be creative and do not make them look spammy. Your main account will be safe, because you only automate the other accounts.

If I saw a brand that made good quality products, and could verify as such I might look deeper into their profile / respond to their direct messages. It feels like the chances of actually finding someone that isn't just drop shipping stuff they're trying to upsell with better pictures and actually cares about their products is over 1 in a million.

I've been contemplating coming up with my own clothing brand for a while now but I'd probably do it more as a hobby that could take off than actually try to do it full time.

I think giveaways are the best way, physical or digital, it just gives people an incentive.

Yeah, advertising cool stuff along with giveaways will really help spread the word about your company.

This OP.

People see others they know wearing something cool, then they want it too.
