I am building this computer system for my daughter who is in architecture, mainly interior.
She is in the middle of the 1st year at a 4 year major university.
She is starting to take up CAD-related coursework and her laptop is struggling to utilize the CAD software used for the coursework.
Obviously, she needs something stronger.
She's NOT a gamer, but will play a few "low level" games, mostly what some will call "old school" games such as the old DOOM series.
As for the monitor, she wanted 27 inches or bigger and high resolution for CAD work.
Other accessories were purposely left out, such as mouse, keyboard, and speakers because she wanted to pick those out in the local computer store.
Yes, she is required to have a CD burner for school. Don't ask me why, it's just the way it is.
Based on that information, here's what I thought should work for her setup until she graduates in 3.5 years.
