What are the specs? -also, if you take a look at the "reliability history" (click on the windows key and start typing it to find it) sow up any errors or crashes or anything?
It can be a driver issue, hardware issue, temp issue or almost anything at this point. That's a problem with one of your USB devices, nothing to do with RAM;
Bug Check 0x144: BUGCODE_USB3_DRIVER Quote:Parameter 1 0x3003 If you had a laptop i would ask if you have any docking station, since it's a desktop, check all your usb connectors, one of them is causing the issue, do you have any hardware that's not "standard" ?
Its actually simple but time consuming, no1 can tell you exactly what is it that causing PC lag. You just have to test hardware 1 by 1 and find it your self, some parts may be tricky because you don't have doubles to replace them or PC can't work w/o them. But ye that's the whole point.
Run cleanmgr.exe and clean all of your junk files. Use msconfig and remove all programs and services from startup. If you use a hard drive instead of an SSD, you may need to delete some stuff off. It is ideal to leave at least half of the drive empty. (more it is full, slower it is)
If your machine is past 5 years old as well I also consider suggesting the option of upgrading parts. The best upgrade you can make is going from an HDD to a SSD. I personally like PNY, Kingston, or ADATA for SSDs.
