What OP should clarify is: what games do they wish to play and at what settings? (Apr 15, 2021 11:25 AM)L E G I Ø N Wrote: The 11900K performs quite well, but is far from efficient. This baby produces quite a lot of heat. I heard that it uses ~250W+ of power and also heats up.
At the moment, Intel seems to have the best value for gaming. In my opinion, it all depends on what your goals are with that CPU, and what settings and games you're playing.
A previous 10th gen to look into is the i5-10400F, which seems to be a really good choice for a budget PC, per comparisons to the 3000 and 5000 series on YouTube. It's currently $160 on Newegg. Satisfied with the 10400F since November and don't plan on upgrading to an 11th gen any time soon. |
