Went to T-Mobile to finish my claim for a cracked screen, the pixels were starting to die and I wasn’t about that.

They told me the deal was this: $99 and they send me a refurbed unit. Completely different phone, same model just refurbished (iPhone XR).

He goes to finish up my claim and comes back and tells me: “We don’t have any refurbed units in to ship at this time. That’s okay, we will send you a new one.”

Went home with my cracked phone and am expecting my brand new iPhone XR tomorrow! I was told it’s a low percentage of time that they don’t have refurbed units in, so I feel super lucky. No need to upgrade for a few years now, and I only owe $100 on my cracked phone, which transfers over to my new phone. $100 payment and it’s mine to own!

Not super savings or anything like that but hey I’ll take the small victories. How was everyone else’s day?

Sick, my friend did this with a MBP, he bought a refurbished older model and the company he bought it from had no stock so they provided him with a refurbished M1 version which is pretty dope.

Hah! Believe it or not the damn thing was on my bed - under a rather thin pillow- and I SAT on it! It was between a pillow and the bed and it still cracked. I was baffled when it happened so it seems pretty spot on but lucky that this should happen to be my replacement :D
