People have gotten cocky with the vaccine making its way around and I've hear people argue that they don't need to wear masks now. You may get it, and it won't be bad for you, but you can still transmit the virus to somebody unvaccinated that can suffer greatly. Since people don't feel an impact themselves, many of them are not being as careful. It's worth worrying about the long term damage Covid has given a lot of people.

I agree with you. And it's made the situation worse than it was before the vaccines arrived.

Depends where you are. Covid is basically over in the UK. It looks like it is hitting bad in India right now due to the new variants being faster spreading & not enough people vaccinated.

All about getting people vaccinated. No other solution. Israel & the UK lead the way on that front. US not far behind now. Europe & India & Africa a long way behind.
My mom lives in Canada and it's gotten bad there again. The pub she cooks at has had to cut down hours for people again.
OP you're from Canada? The third wave is hitting hard and vaccine roll outs have been an extremely slow process due to the amount of dosages that's been received.
Hopefully it gets better soon.

I didn't know it's that bad in India. I've always thought it's the country's huge population. A country with a 1 billion plus population is likely to have more victims than one with just 2 million. Seems I was wrong.

Shortage of beds available in hospitals, 300+ waiting lists on covid patients in hospitals, running out of oxygen, No availability of ICU or Ventilators. It's full everywhere, dead bodies are dumped like trash.
People die outside the hospital because there is no bed, sometimes there are two people on same bed or people lying on floors. There is no liquid oxygen left, if you catch covid and if it gets bad then you're surely going to die with lack of treatment.

The vaccines themselves have killed over 1000 people, probably more than that. The problem is the virus keeps mutating stronger than before, and factoring in how effective the vaccine is.
The UAE has accepted the China made vaccine rather than other vaccines; due to it being more organic with ingredients that have been used for hundreds of years. Whereas other vaccines have been newly designed and experimented with. There are places in China where people freely roam around without a mask, like any ordinary day. However, China tries not to be promotional of their vaccine.
The virus in UK has been significantly strongest in mutation which is why the nation's on lockdown. Stronger viruses become more undetectable. Because of this, vaccines may need to keep up even more.
