I thought about this the other day and was curious.

If you were stranded on a ship for 2 years and managed to survive off make-shift fishing poles to catch fish and cook them using pieces of the ship deck and lighters you conserved, most the people have already died and you wont be able to last much longer
You're about a mile from icey land in remote Alaska and the ship is starting to float away back into the distant sea.

Would you jump into the ocean and risk freezing in water or being eaten by shark to swim to the snow freezing land where you would have to build a fire and find shelter right away to survive?

Or would you stay on the ship to try to survive like that and wait for help?

also, they just found enough MRE's for everyone to have 30 but if you leave you can only bring 3.

I would risk it and take a dive to reach the nearest land.

I'd probably stay on the ship. Much safer than jumping into freezing water and trying to stay alive in an extremely remote place with no proper clothing.

Probably wouldn't even get close to the land as the waves will drag you far, you'll just end up dying.

I'd stay on the ship for sure, even if I would be able to swim to the land, I'd probably die anyway from the cold because it would take too much time to lit a fire and get warm etc.

Definetly stay on the ship. You aint gonna make the swim and even if you are your body temp will be too low for you to be able to even start a fire.
