Chia Coin Thoughts?

New coin called chia that’s going to coming out soon. Has a new approach to blocks instead of mining it uses a farming setup where it uses hdd space. Built by the same dude who setup bit torrent protocol so he already has a little following. Gonna be released in a few days. Has a company behind it who plan on going public as well much like xrp. Does anyone know much about it, or done any research into? Anyone reckon it could be worth getting into “farming” it? Apparently it’s release is causing hdd shortages in China and could cause similar disruptions in the west. Might even be worth buying up hdd to resell?

The approach isn't new at all.. Most crypto OGs remember BURST. It was/is a proof of space coin from 2014 and it's basically dead.

I don't think proof of space is the way to go. Yea, you might not waste (that much) energy, instead you buy stupid amounts of HDDs.
