Greetings. I am a newcomer to the site and am hoping to learn valuable skills that can help me in my path with computer science. I am a big hacking history buff and enjoy learning new things about the origins of what we do today. I do minor programming tasks as it’s not my main job but I enjoy poking around every now and then. I am fluent in Java, Javascript, Python, HTML, and CSS. Any help in finding my way into the first steps for learning to hack would be greatly appreciated. Also feel free to add me and we can communicate further.

Very nice intro, hope you can stay a while 👍
You said you like hack history, well let me share with you one of my favorite documentaries on hacking. Although it is very old and the quality isn't super high, it's definitely watchable and is very informative.
Heyo, welcome. 'Hacking' as a term is about as broad as 'development'. It's easiest to learn if you have a goal or project you'd like to accomplish of create. Sounds like you've got the building blocks, now you just need to find direction.

This was one of my favorite documentaries. The true origin of “hacking,” which carelessness and malpractice have cast a particularly bad light on in today’s world. I firmly believe hacking, at its core, has always been for fun and is a matter of limit testing new technologies we discover as outlined in the early portion of the documentary. I agree, this is a great documentary for script kiddies who never picked up the spirit of hacking when they started and might even help them see the bright side of our world.
