I'm a noob and ignored all the red flags. Fell victim to a scam, lost $2k, and think my SSN is potentially compromised as well as basic info such as my name, address, employer, etc.
Besides just reporting to authorities and putting my credit on lock, is there anything else I can do to try and track the suspect? I have the e-mail that is associated with the recipient of the Zelle payment, which I presume is a burner unless Zelle has some sort of verification process. I also have a link to the fake website that the scammer used to present fake tracking information, and a phone number which I'd assume is through a VoIP service.
