Steam game starts to mine crypto on your PC after you install it.

Can't believe this is actually real lol.

When you boot up the game it immediately starts to use 100% of your GPU because it starts to mine some crypto coin in the background.

Thats a pretty cool technique, to mine cryptos & not hold it for ransom.
Slightly entertaining. But crypto miners backdoored into programs is nothing new.

People need to not be surprised by things like this. There is a massive amount of malicious software out there.
i lost my gpu because it's overheated when i play csgo on steam on very low graphic now i know why
Please use Middleman when you do deals
To Help Community i can hold BTC for how want to use me as MM for free.
Holy shit LMAO.
I thought steam checked anything before making it available in the store.
What the actual heck? I seriously didn’t know that this was a thing lol. How can I find out if a game developer put a backdoor into the game, obviously if 100% gpu is being used, that’s a tell tale sign. But I have a pretty good gpu, so I doubt mine would go to 100%.
I know Razer had some thing where you would mine crypto for them. You'd get such a measly amount as a regular user that literally would never amount to enough to get something of theirs.
Changed my username 7/6/18.
Thats quite terrible. 30 GPU might have gone unnoticed
