Hey,
So, long story short I've begun a small 'business' type deal, I've not exactly been keeping up to date logs of every time I've sold and the dates they've sold, so it's hard to kinda put an idea of how much I've made per day/week etc.
eBay screwed me over when the customer's item was received damaged, and he's now using the mandatory refund policy of eBay, meaning they've refunded the funds from a customers payment. 1 payment went in, they yoinked it before it even hit my bank.
Anyway.
Up to current, from maybe a few weeks of starting this very small business plan, I've cleared £345 worth of profit. What I'm trying to work out, and I can't, maybe because I could use an accountant or I'm dumb, probably both.
IS.... Per week, how much would I have to clear in order to reach £345? My goal was to reach £1,000 by the end of the year.

Start date, and how much is a reasonable amount to sell in a week. Going from 1000 as of now around 15 a week

I already have 345, but I want to be able to have an idea of how much I need to make per week. Time was probably a month but I really haven't kept up to date on it.

37$ a week to reach 1000$ by the end of the year

Cleared $63 today, which means I'm doing well then!

1000 in total or 1000 a day/week? How many items do you sell per week on average through the past month you've been going (maybe ignore the first week because you'd just have been getting use to it unless u already knew what u were doing)? Also I'm pretty sure ebay should have information on when u sold which items and how many u sold (not used ebay in a while so you'll have to lmk if i'm wrong).

I wanted to reach 1,000 by the end of the year. That's the question I'm asking, If I were to reach 1,000 by Jan 1st 2022, how much per week would I need to make?
What I sell differs weekly, it could be 1 solid sale or 5 sales that take time to actually sell. (eBay we used once for our sales and hated it.)

Oh okay so theres 18 weeks and 6 days till 2022 (its 22/08 3:30am here, so I'll go with that).
so 18 weeks to make the remaining amount of profit (1000 - 345 = 655) so theres 655 quid left to make in 18 weeks (and 6 days but we'll just go with 18 weeks).
£36.38 (£655 / 18 *weeks*) a week should be ur goal but on ebay if ur selling at a good ROI % then you should be able to make that almost daily without much effort (depending on niche, audience and supply/demand etc).

We've decided to stay away from eBay as we are selling electricals and apparently eBay will refund if they tell eBay the item was damaged. So for now we are doing it by other local online classifies.

Ahhh I must have misunderstood then if you've said that before, I apologise, it's been a long ass day haha. So I'm guessing craigslist, fb marketplace and smaller sites? Might have some better luck with shopify and then posting some native advertising (e.g. reviews acting like a buyer) in fb buy/sell/review groups and similar (depending on where u are based) sites. How much is 1 sale worth profit wise; on average?

It honestly depends, 26/27 we look at returning a few hundred since we have membership for auctions. Every other day, 25/50 profit per item.
Mostly FB marketplace, shpock and gumtree.

Ahh so ur just buying and selling like just electrical items instead of buying stock and selling the same product over and over? Or am I misunderstanding again hahaha

It's all good I get how things are, I don't have much advice for that then since it'll be different product listings daily so pointless running ads and such, or reviews, so I guess just best to rely on shares on fb for ur product and buy/sell pages haha, goodluck though, I'm sure you'll hit that £1k goal very easily over the next 18 weeks or so.
