Move the Firewall section

Firewalls are a fundamental component of security today, but any discussion about this very important issue is almost non-existent here.
I propose to create a "firewall" section in "Advanced Hacking", moving from "Networking, Routers, Switches, and Firewalls" a wasteland who nobody reads.

Providing a list of 100 threads on firewalls would help your suggestion. New forums are only created if there is sufficient activity to fill them with.

Firewalls are a very important component of computer security nowadays and the total lack on discussion about on Hackforums are probably due to the placement of the firewalls section in a low activity zone in the forum.

As in the section "Cryptography, Encryption, and Decryption" there are many posts about "bypass x antivirus" also in "Firewall" we may have many posts about "bypass x firewall".
Lots of posts, lots of contracts, and lots of stickies.
Just a suggestion.

Creating a new section does not equal creating interest in the subject. Especially if there isn't enough content on it already, it can also have a negative impact if the section is almost empty when created. This can actually discourage people to post in there, as no activity seems to take place.

Assuming there's no activity because it's in a low activity area is really the wrong conclusion. If there would be enough interest in the subject, the area would just be dominated by firewall threads.

Besides that, firewalls are an essential part of networking. I don't see splitting them up working out in any way.

As webdev said, it would help to include a list of threads about firewalls that are currently on the forums. Especially if you look in other suggestions about new sections, this is the general rule of thumb. But if you want to neglect advice from staff members based just on your assumptions, don't expect this suggestion to be implemented.
Sorry but no. Thanks for the suggestion.
