Be careful spending that such money for a rig specifically for "ETH" as it will be no more possible to mine it when they launch Ethereum 2.0 (Oct 1, 2021 07:07 AM)UNKNOWNI Wrote: Be careful spending that such money for a rig specifically for "ETH" as it will be no more possible to mine it when they launch Ethereum 2.0 What other coin do you recommend then? Also are you sure about your statement?` Is bitcoin totally dead when it comes to mining? (Oct 1, 2021 07:27 AM)Focus Broken Wrote: https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=5777211 Lets see. Hope you are right since I love the profit from my miners.
Eth will soon become PoS so don't mine.
BTC is kinda akward as in it's stil profitable, but is it worth the effort? You'll have to look into what your miner will provide you as return, how long to cover the cost of the miner(s) and already have some funds for electricity just in case. After that it's all profit. If BTC doesn't make your list in expected estimated returns look into other mineable coins like Monero. However the research must be extensive for example if Dash is your best pick keep in mind you'll need an Asic miner not gpus. I wouldn't suggest mining however take a look at Divi, the recently released mobile app that lets you open a Staking Vault. This means helping provide security to the network and get 20% ROI on your investment. The best thing is you get to keep your initial investment and just earn on top of it. I have been doing it for a while now using a different setup but seeing as they just released their new mobile wallet I would highly recommend it for a beginner. Sure you can go mine BTC or the likes but you are going to spend 10k+ on equipment that'll be useless in 2-3 years.. Why not invest that 10k into a solid coin and earn 20%. After 2-3 years you still got your 10k + (2k x 3 years = 6k)
Now as always do your own research and don't just do it because of what someone said on the internet but hey a bit of friendly advice. It's what I do and I have been earning a nice sum so far. The price is looking very nice at the minute also so you can get in pretty cheap. The best part is you can cash out at any time. Take a look at the Divi thread: Divi for the Win by Omni (Oct 1, 2021 11:39 AM)Dorrance Wrote: BTC Mining might be your best option. With 3090 gpu?
