I've recieved my provisional a few months ago, but my dad said that they test you if you smoke weed in the UK. Does anyone here know if this is true or not? Thats unbelievable man I wanna smoke on weekends, but they could potentially test me?

If the USA they can test yu for drugs or alcohol if they have suspected you to be under the influence while driving but while taking the test to get license they don’t test you

Honestly ive smoked weed most of my life as well and its kept me away from messing around with any other hard core drugs unlike lots of people i know who stopped smoking but got into doing worse stuff which even killed about a dozen of my friends as of today, so i always tell them if they need to do something either smoke some weed or just puff on some of those corny disposable tobacco vapes, but honestly weed isn’t anything bad compared to most the other drugs out there. 

Lots of our states here have already either decriminalized it and/or legalized it for medicinal use because of how many good benefits there is from cannabis. Not to mention it’s literally generated billions of dollars for our state’s which ultimately was spent on education. Healthcare, and pubic roads/areas/parks etc. it’s definitely got it’s pros and very little cons honestly! 

But I definitely wouldn’t want to call my future job and ask them if they’ll be drug testing me, because that’s probably going to raise a few red flags and if they weren’t planning on drug testing him, now they probably most likely will haha but yeah honestly maybe you can have somebody you know call them pretending to be  interested in the job themselves, and just casually ask them about the drug test? Or check their website/employee manuals? Or ask some current/previous employees if you can!

Well here in the US as an above member mentioned if they have reasonable suspicion and or you’re driving strange they can stop you and conduct a roadside stop and test you.

However it’s not like you’re called to come test to make sure you don’t smoke weed or else you can’t drive.

I have no idea about other countries but that sounds silly. But yeah police can stop someone with reasonable cause and conduct a field test.

Well, you drive with someone when you have a provisional anyways but they won't test you because you have a provisional. Only if you drive like a knob and they suspect it.

I'm pretty sure that if they have reason to believe you were DUI they can do a test, that's how it usually works

You should be arrested for possessing marijuana never mind smoking it while driving.
The maximum sentence is 5 years prison in the UK for marijuana and I hope you get it.

This is the greatest misconception.
Drinking is not much worse, it only appears that way because far more people drink than smoke.

Marijuana once was rightly listed as a Class A drug.
It can induce severe mental illness and criminal psychotic acts.

I just wouldn't smoke until after, just to be safe. Why risk that just to smoke?
