So recently I got in a fight with acquaintance of mine, we got into an arguement where we were fighting over how much money I was supposed to give to this person , basically we had a dinner some time back and I paid for some food for both of us but I was already in debt back then , so I was supposed to give him more money soon , we argued because I was saying I owed him only 10 bucks and he wanted 15 bucks instead.
To make the long story short he contacted me saying I was hiding from him and being a smartass for not giving him 15 bucks already in a really rude tone, I replied probably with an even worse tone (what he said really upset me ) telling him to chillout and I reminded him that I thought I only had to give him 10 , after that he blocked me everywhere and told me we are done for .
What hurts me is that he was supposed to be a close friend who I should have been able to trust , I have known this person for a very long time (5/6 years) however he did this on purpose to hurt me and make me feel alone and sad because he knew he was one of the few friends I had , he knew my weakness and he used it against me .
I really feel like doing something to get back at this person now even if I know this is not the best behavior but he really acted out on the only purpose to hurt me, so why shouldn’t I hurt him back ?!
I’ve been trying to restrain myself from taking revenge because I fear I might regret this but the more I think about what he did the angrier I get about this . How could our friendship mean so little to him??
I am sorry for this very long post but I feel very frustrated about this

Money ruins many friendships, never lending out money is a good idea and people will respect it. But it's also a powerful tool to lend someone 10 bucks or whatever and see how they deal with it, their actions tell you everything you need and it's cheap information for 10 bucks you know. Now you know wassup, I would just send him whatever you owe and drop him out of my life.
If he is petty enough to complain about 10/15 bucks as a friend who's been with you for more than 5 years then goes onto break that friendship between you guys over that, it just isn't worth getting violent towards. You should move on, getting violent is yourself acting out emotionally thinking he was better than that and now feeling betrayed. I get it, but stooping down to a lower quality because of that is imo silly.
Everyone sucks here.
There has GOT to be a fundamental issue with this friendship already for a difference of 5 dollars to make this much of a rift between the two of you. Have you already felt a similar resentment towards your friend and felt like he's been taking advantage of your situation to create an unfair dynamic in your friendship recently? Has he escalated similar situations out of control in the past that make you feel like this is a pattern? I feel like we aren't getting the whole story and until we do there's not much advice I can give to an isolated conflict.
I'm assuming you are young and with aging, comes snakes who recognize themselves as friends. The best revenge from my experience is to cut them off completely and forget they existed. If you show the person you care or are still trying to get revenge, you'll feed into their negative energy. Consider yourself lucky it happened now and not a few years later.
My best advice is to not let emotions get in the way and to make more of a logical decision. Sometimes you will need to wait a few days or weeks to get the emotions out first.
Best revenge is living well, forget and forgive about it, i kno it sounds easier than what it is but its really the best advice

Never give money out and you should have the expectation that whatever money you lend to family/friends you will never get back.
Cut people out of your life who don't reciprocate the same energy you give.

I'm confused, did you pay for both of you, or did he pay for both of you? How could you pay for both of you, but then owe him money?

I don't know, but nothing you've said here indicates to me that he did it on purpose to hurt you. Not everything is about you. It is always best to try and give people the benefit of the doubt. He might really need the money. He might have his own issues going on. There could be any number of reasons other than malice against you personally.
That said, if you've given him the benefit of the doubt, and you still feel the matter is not closed, I would either:
1) Just cut him out of your life and move on. The way to get revenge is to not let it bother you. As Confucius says, getting angry at someone is like swallowing poison and hoping that they will die.
2) Go and knock on his door, and say "Ok, let's duke it out. When one of us has had enough, we'll go for an adult beverage together, and forget it ever happened."
Money and friendships don't go hand to hand so well.
Money should never be lent by friends, either give what you don't mind never seeing back or just don't.
Sorry about what happened with your friend, I do believe in taking the high road and just moving on and not even think about revenge, you're still free to do whatever you will, but that's just my opinion.
Stay strong, everything will be alright ❤️
Over $10, I would never think about the dude ever again. Good riddance. Move on to relationships with better people.

Just stunt on them with success
if the $5 means so much to him just hand it out let him keep the $5 and you move on with your life and dont look back .
Give him a imaginary - Pop and move on. Or stab him to death and close the chapter.

There are scummy people out there that pretend to be your friend that will betray and use you. It sucks but it's part of life. Recently had someone like this I had to drop. Revenge isn't worth it, it'll just turn you into a negative toxic person over time
