Botnet setup. What coms protocol?

I made a whole HTTP over TOR botnet client, and now my smartass got the idea to remove that part and use IRC.
So i am kinda stuck rn, about what protocol to use in means of communication.
Care to help a bit? 🙃
IRC is shit - TOR is great but slow - Make your own protocol.

HTTP traffic accounts for roughly half of network traffic globally, and is the "ideal" protocol for communication (HTTP/S not solely http)
A variation of that can be websockets, it still will product http requests but will allow for much faster/near instant transmission of commands due to keep alive

reverse TCP is used in RATS, but for large numbers of clients, it's not the best, more useful for direct access like HRDP or HVNC

If you wish to have a large volume of bots and their traffic, HTTP/S is fine, downside being there would be a control server, should you wish to remove that, using a DHT network allows for P2P

You can use TOR for http, I wouldn't reccomend for fast communication, or advise you to try using TCP over it, it will be shit

thanks for your response, i am definitly going to look into web sockets, thanks!

What do you mean a whole HTTP over Tor client? Did you just code a program that ships with tor and it just connects to its SOCKS interface, or did actually code your own Tor client implementation?
And about what protocol to use for communication, well you said you want IRC, so it seems that you just answered your own question? What is even the point of this thread
