Are there more wheels or doors in the world?

Yes. It's happening. HackForums time to divide into wheels or doors.

so what do you reckon?

More doors than wheels?
or more wheels than doors?

Here are some very good arguments for both.

For example, one large skyscraper will contain hundreds if not thousands of doors.

However, within that skyscraper may be hundreds of office chairs, all of which might have five wheels.

There are also wheels in mechanisms like watches, and tiny wheels that make drawers work.

But houses are full of cupboards that have doors but no wheels, and every advent calendar has 24 doors and no wheels.
I'd say doors if you're counting everything like kitchen cabinets and smaller items. Apartment buildings, skyscrapers, garage doors.
But that's just me I experience more doors in my life than wheels.

Edit:
After a quick google search I change my answer to wheels.

I think this was originally posted on reddit. And as my answer is I have absolutely no clue. For us to even get a good estimate we need to know if we are counting ALL doors and wheels in. Doors on a dollhouse count as well as a steering wheel?
I have no clue, but my guess would be wheels.

As stated they are everywhere.

Cars, Bikes. Watches, Chairs, Trucks. The list keeps going.

I’d assume wheels.

I’ve seen a lot of debates online and on the news about this.

exactly, thought I'd bring it here 😖🤣
Wheels is the answer if you havent voted yet. XD
This is an interesting question, and it feels impossible to answer much like the travelling salesman problem.

But we could probably give an estimate if we break down every variable in existence (I am not going to do that). What I am going to do is just give rough estimate or whatever information that I know by each continent as a whole.

Africa

Houses in rural areas of South, West, and East Africa will probably have very few doors, some cases none at all. Same applies with North african countries. Because in North Africa it is mostly covered with the sahara desert, so you can imagine people will be living in tents with no doors. I feel wheels are more common in african countries, why? Because many african countries rely on agriculture which involves using wheelbarrows, trucks, tractors or whatever it may be to transport goods. The houses themselves, even those from more wealthier african citizens don't have that many doors. They tend to have bigger rooms with few doors (This is just by me looking at online images). And ontop of the agriculture, you have cars, trucks and bikes being used all across the continent.

Choice: Wheels

North America

This is a tough one because a country like the US is very wealthy and some people own multiple houses and cars. But lets say the average american house has 10 doors (1 front, 1 back, 8 interior), and 2 vehicles, 1 bike (10 wheels) , then it seems like a tie right? But ontop you got cupboards, wardrobes, fridge, freezers, etc which will probably add another 15 totalling 25 doors per house. Next places like New York are full of skyscrapers, which have many doors. Not every skyscraper has offices, some are purely hotels which will not have many chairs with wheels. And not every office chair has wheels, so I am going to go with doors for this too. However, it is very close to tie because alot of machinery has not been accounted for which use wheels, like elevators. And if you look at warehouses and depots, they use alot of wheels, forklifts, trolleys,

Oh man theres too many variables, so I am just going to say WHEELS. Here are some reasons why:

- Many machinery and parts use some sort of wheels like timing belts.
- Amount of vehicles and bikes, even those not in use or abandoned.
- Factories, especially tyre factories.
- Warehouses - Forklifts, trolleys.
- Poorer countries will have more wheels, I only talked about Africa but imagine India too, very few doors, people doing business on streets, lots of motorbikes and vehicles.
- You also have to look at toys and novelty items which tend to have wheels (toy cars, toy trucks, etc)
- Skateboards and rollerskates.
- China is one of the most populated countries in the world, everyone uses some form of transport which involves wheels, even rickshaws use wheels

- Trolleys is another variable that we might not think about, think about how many trolleys there are in every supermarket. There are over 4000 walmarts in the US, just imagine how many shopping carts there are!
- Disability scooters, electric scooters
LIST CAN GO ON . . .
Ugh God, this is the third time people have asked me that. The answer is always the same: look at the statistics regarding how many doors versus how many wheels have been made and are still in operation today.

Real answer: no one knows.

I thought hard about it now, its wheels bro. Theres too many things with wheels in them!

EDIT: Thinking about it again, I forgot about car doors, average car has 4 wheels and 5 doors. Yeah its impossible, fuck this question
Suppost the most obvious source of wheels happen to be on cars, which have 4-5 doors anyway.. I go for doors
Pretty sure the wheel was invented before the door, They had rocks as wheels according to the flintstone and mofos were living in caves with no doors :D

Wheel, Final answer before I google it

Wheels by far

Wheels are a basic mechanism used to build virtually anything mechanical. The top to a bottle cap is a wheel, is it not? 2 trillion bottles are produced yearly. Fuck you, doors
