How to Stay Protected Online

Hi there,

I'm new to HackForums. I'm trying to learn the methods that people use in hacking. One thing that I find fascinating is how hackers actually protect themselves when running exploits.

Do they run their connection through a series of proxies? I assume your standard VPN wouldn't be enough?
The standard VPN such as [censored] definitely doesnt work.

From the method of payment to what provider you use makes a big impact.

Are you paying with paypal? Dead.

Are you using a VPN that publicly admits giving out logs? Dead.

Are you using a US Based VPN? Dead.

Lots of things to consider.

Proxy chains are a thing, and you can ping around the world making it way harder to track you however you'll have higher MS response times.

I don't communicate off of HF with HF users.
If you're looking at staying protected online, I'd check out this forum:
OpSec and OSINT

Staff will never reach out to you off-site. We only communicate on HF.

You can't be online and protected !!!?

But you can try to escape some privacy leaked . even vpns , tor etc .. not full privacy

To be protected just drop you'r smart phone , laptop and be away from wifi .
Protecting yourself online is entirely based off a digital footprint. Minimizing your digital footprint can be challenging as it assumes that you started by anonymizing your identity online and utilizing alias emails.

A VPN is most effective for most users. If you are an advanced user, proxies and multiple VPNs are important but not the focal point to security.
