Do you mean technique? Literally anyone can play any effect lol. I can sweep, hybrid pick etc once you become a pretty moderate level guitarist you should be able to do almost any technique a bit.

I was wondering the same thing. Been playing for a long time myself as well and I completely agree, you get to a point where you should be able to pull off most techniques.

Thumping was the last technique I learned. Bought an 8 string specifically to do that animals as leaders stuff but I still suck at it. It is a ton of fun though.

Thumping is some next level shit it requires some percussion-type talent imo. Like I can hybrid pick decent but you add the concept of a slap and it becomes foreign lol

A long time ago I really wanted to learn to play guitar cause I was into my Heavy Metal Phase or something like that ... I bought a guitar and asked a friend of mine who was really good at it to help me. I bought an acoustic guitar and started with Smoke on the water as everybody does I believe ... I learned it pretty fast as it is an easy one and I was like ... Ooo I want to play Nothing else matters and I tried ... but I didn't have the required patience for this ... I couldn't learn it for like a week and we ended up - My friend playing the guitar and me enjoying listening to him :D I realized that playing guitar is not my thing and sold it shortly after ... So .. No, I don't play guitar :D
