I'm looking to build a bot that would control my account for HF, however I'm not upgraded and I'd like to find out answers to these questions before spending any money on ub3r for that sole purpose.
1. Is it possible, through API integration, to make a bot that would listen 24/7 to replies of certain threads and reply + PM these users with an automated message?
2. What limitations would there be? Just the 5 seconds post delay or is there any limit on API usage?
3. Is there any easy way of listening to new replies? Similar to bot.listen in python discord bots where the bot would wait for a certain interaction and instantly detect it?
- The API cannot send PMs/Convos on your behalf, so that's a non-starter.
- All posting etiquette rules still apply to posts, so you would need to ensure that your bot (using your account) doesn't spam the thread if it sees a lot of replies. Additionally, you would want to make sure that it's a useful reply, and not seen as just a bump.
- No. You need to query the API, it will not send outgoing requests to your app/bot.
P.S.,

How about scraping new replies with the API (every 15 mins for example), then replying & PM'ing using a selenium automation script?
The script will be used to aid my free ewh pack threads, on some days it gets tens of replies and it's too hard to keep sending everyone the pack

You can fetch the replies on your custom defined interval, sure. As for the reply via Selenium, you need to ask Omni for permission to do that; but it would be a neat project for you to complete.
IMO, Unless you're selling the pack, I don't see why you couldn't just rework the giveaway structure. It'll get saturated either way, wasting your time PMing the download link out is just extra work for no reason.

What giveaway structure?
My aim for this bot is a bit bigger than just some packs

My free resources threads have both a buy-in attachment and the ability to claim your pack with a simple reply. Made a couple thousand bytes just from 4 threads but the replies is what keeps them bumped and alive.
If I'm going to use the HF API to detect any new replies and then selenium to reply & PM the users, how can I achieve the part of actually detecting NEW replies on these threads and gathering the users IDs and post IDs?

Run a scheduled task (i.e. Cron job) every N minutes to fetch the thread's posts. If the most recent post date was between now and your previous check, you have a new post. Or, you can hit the threads endpoint, and use the "lastpost" attribute returned. There are many ways to approach this.

DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS MEMBER
Listening for replies to your threads can be done with the websocket HF provides.
Only thing that sucks about this is that it dies literally every fucking minute.
Good luck.
Is there any way to easily get all the userids that ever replied to a thread without the API (including multiple pages, not only the last page)?

With the non official api, sure.
I don’t think that would be tolerated though.
U can try.

If I include delays to not stress the network, why wouldn't it?
Also, never knew about any unofficial API, care to shed more light on that? Never really even worked with APIs before

With unofficial I am referring to the calls ur browser also makes. Not really an api but you get what I mean.
I might make a python wrapper one day.

The API was created to provide direct access to Hack Forums data through a legitimate means, I cannot fathom why Lynx is suggesting you do it through scraping.

Only Ub3rs have API access.

And no one has scraping permission. Your point being?
