I don't think it sucks, but I do think Tanjiro is heavily guarded with plot armor.

If it wasn't for Ufotable's animation, it wouldn't nearly receive the praise it has.

I just started demon slayer recently and so far, I'm enjoying it quite a bit. I wouldn't say it sucks at all. I do agree with Tsundere that the artwork is really pretty.

My friends keep swearing by it but it just never keeps my attention for long. I've tried watching it 3 or 4 times and I only know what's going on up to the 2nd episode.

Demon Slayer is a gem. With one episode in the first season being in my top 10 all time favorite anime episodes. Ufotable has truly done it wonders.

Now that's a hot take!

What I don't like is the comedy. I think it's overkill and it feels forced. If the comedy was more subtle, I think I wouldn't be as annoyed with it.
