What is the easiest way for a tech enthusiast (hardware-wise) but still oblivious towards the coding and software aspect to get in into cybersecurity for defense and offense if needed ?
How do I start to acquire knowledge in the cybersecurity space ? |

what do you really mean by enthusiast?
like in the sense where you read about XYZ new technology/device and fanboy over it (think: early days of amazon alexa, google home, or any smart-home/connected device)? or enthusiast as in you try making your own small iot projects and bust out the soldering iron every now and then as a hobbyist? or enthusiast as in you work as an engineer and you're interested in stuff like FPGAs but cant be bothered to actually learn verilog or whatever other HDL your workplace uses?
The cyber security industry is a great area to be in.

I’d say Hacking CTFs (capture the flags), they’re legal hacking challenges sort of game shaped. There are YouTube videos breaking them down and you’ll learn most aspects of cybersecurity / pentesting this way.
