Bitcoin Mixing Service Wasabi Wallet Blacklisting Transactions

Bet your little heart sank when you saw this thread government sympathizer. Didn't think anyone was going to post about it?

Bitcoin mixing service CoinJoin starts blacklisting BTC tied to illegal activity

Bitcoin mixing service CoinJoin has started blacklisting bitcoin tied to illegal activity in a move derided by some advocates of crypto privacy.

CoinJoin, a bitcoin mixing service that’s part of the privacy-focused Wasabi Wallet, will start blocking bitcoin tagged with certain identifiers, according to an announcement on Sunday.

Mixing services let you obfuscate the transaction history of your coins, allowing users greater privacy but also attracting those seeking to launder stolen bitcoin. The person who hacked Twitter in 2020 and sent out fake giveaway messages from high-profile accounts, for example, sent the loot through CoinJoin, according to blockchain analytics firm Elliptic. Another report showed that the funds from the KuCoin hack flowed through it too.

Is it not ironic that a BTC "privacy" wallet has the ability to censor transactions while submitting user data to the government for surveillance?

Bitcoin censor compliant software and 98% centralized pool within U.S. OFAC Compliance jurisdiction

Marathon Digital a key miner in the US has created and successfully developed Censorship compliant software for the state, mining censored blocks as we speak.

Marathon Digital Holdings to Launch the First North American-Based Bitcoin Mining Pool, Fully Compliant with U.S. Regulations
You can read the SEC document on how they achieved censoring the Bitcoin network.
https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/...ex99-1.htm

The majority of the hash power over 75% is controlled by 5 centralized pools. Keep in mind that only 51% is all it takes to attack the network. 98% of the Bitcoin network is in U.S. OFAC Compliance jurisdiction.

These poser "btc maximalists" aka government sympathizers pretend the network is censorship resistant when it is not. Meanwhile, behind their gatekeeping, the network succumbs to censorship from the inside out right under our noses.
any new wallets to use ? were to mix ?
I love how you skip the fact that wasabi wallet is blacklisting txs.

I dont care what the MARA CEO has to lie about they have OFAC compliant software for censorship and they are censoring BTC Txs as we speak.

To be 100% fair here even if Marathon were to start censoring TXs so what? Transactions will go on the next block, mined by another pool, and still completed.

That is quite literally censorship resistance at play, and until someone can harness 51% of the hashing power, it will remain like this.

CoinJoin doesn't even contribute to consensus?!?! 😆
Only if you use zKSNACKS as a CoinJoin coordinator are txs blacklisted from their mixing service. Clearly, it's a failure in the design of CoinJoin.

Government can impose blacklisting within Bitcoin wallets. 98% of the network lies within U.S. Jurisdiction some of the pools already have OFAC Compliant software.

5 pools control more than 75% of the hash power. All lie within U.S. Jurisdiction, as someone who uses co-located miners you know how centralized the network is. So I don't understand the "until someone can harness 51%" means, when I just told you 98% of the network is within the U.S. government's grasp.

You do realize once someone starts censoring Bitcoin, even if you had 2% of the hash power to still push through tx. It would bring the network to a grinding halt as each block is 10 minutes. You would wait hours for your tx to go through.

smh censorship is rampant in the Bitcoin ecosystem its pretty sad. Who is next to get censored on Bitcoin? you never know, depends on the developer's mood.

Pools don't own the hash they represent.
Everyone mining BTC is incentivized to keep it as "free" as humanly possible, if Bitcoin wasn't censorship resistant for example, the price would completely tank and ultimately make BTC worthless in the eyes of many, which would translate to private companies (Like Marathon) getting completely crushed in their BTC mining and holding venture.
Nobody is censoring BTC, that possible attack vector is just not plausible anymore.

Yes I have co-located machines around the world, throughout 3 different countries and 5 different states in the US.. I mean sure there's counterparty risk, but I'm pretty sure you know where I live and mining here is not possible, working on something in my home country though which could be cool.

This thread is so representative of the average mETH head. OP has 0 understanding on how blockchains work, typical shitcoiner.

diesiel already did.  As usual, you didn't need to create a new thread:

Coinjoin isn't a "service", a coinjoin is a transaction that contains inputs from 2 or more users.

You're lying again.  Wasabi Wallet does not collect any user data at all thanks to BIP157/158 client side block filters and Tor.  There's nothing they can submit to the government because they simply do not collect that information:

You're lying again.  F2Pool (17%) is not US.  Antpool (14%) is not US.  Poolin (10%) is not US.  ViaBTC (7.2%) is not US.  Slushpool (7%) is not US.  BTC.com (3.5%) is not US.

In fact, the only US pool on the entire graph is Foundry USA (and Binance with multiple jurisdictions).  There's literally no possible way you could calculate 98% USA pooling from that graph.

You're lying again.  You cannot censor transactions without 51%+ of the hashpower.  And you're lying AGAIN - they are not mining any blocks as we speak, Mara's pool hasn't mined a block in over 2 months:

Mining pools do not have custody over hash power.  If a censoring pool tries to send their customers a reorg block template to mine on, the customers' software just switches to the backup pool the customers configured and mines at the chain tip.

Lmao, had a good laugh while reading this - nice post man! Doing the lord's work, dispelling shitcoiner myths.
Just because you are not in the US does not mean U.S. Jurisdiction cannot reach you. Last time I checked Alexey Pertsev who was arrested was not in the US either.
(Aug 26, 2022 02:50 PM)Beau Wrote:  What makes you think that he was arrested as a result of the United States government?

If its not the result of the United States Government, then thats even worse. Instead of one enemy now you have more.
FIOD stated the arrest was made independently of any US Government investigation. Unsure if you can take them at their word, but at the very least right now the arresting party is stating the arrest was made on their own behalf.

Fact wasabi wallet censors, Fact MARA censors tx and has compliant software on standby, Fact 98% of the BTC network is within the U.S. Regulatory Jurisdiction.

You have not proven otherwise. The entire thread everyone has said nuh uh no way, when literally one of the most popular Bitcoin "privacy" wallet censors and ships user data to the government. They admitted it themselves.

Dont worry more censorship to the BTC network is coming. Guaranteed.

None of you even deny the US can censor miners 🤣, best you could do was "tHeY nOt iN uSA"

Ive already answered your points, you cant seem to do the same. You cant accept the facts. Tough pill to swallow for you huh.
