[Marketplace] Closing sales threads after bumping

Not really a suggestion or idea but in my opinion I don't think it's really fair that sellers are just bumping their threads & closing.
Buyers can't even give their review if the product / service is bad because the thread is closed.
What's your opinion on the matter?

Probably posting in the wrong section, please move if so.
I personally find it dumb as well. I know exactly what user you're talking about as well in this instance.

Maybe there could be a way for only contracted users to be able to post on a thread? Err but then some people like asking questions before buying without having to message the seller directly.

To be honest I'm not talking about any specific user, I've seen so many people doing it and find it unfair as fuck.
Maybe when closing a thread in any Marketplace sector / sticky section you should have to request to close & give a valid reason as to why you're closing your thread.
I mean you can leave a bad review with a B Rating, people are just scared to receive a red in return.

I don't like it, we all know why they do it, but there isn't really a great solution to the issue that doesn't also negatively impact honest sellers as well. Best I can think of is "If Stanley has posted on your thread within x hours, then the thread can not be closed." However, it wouldn't be worth the time it takes adding that logic to the forum.

I agree, and it should auto-open a thread if closed and remove the ability of OP to close it for X amount of time.

DEAL ONLY ON SITE, I DO NOT DEAL ON DISCORD.
No post, comment, PM, convo or any correspondence from me should be considered financial advice.

I know BK did it before he was closed for being a scammer. Should not be allowed imo.

Yea it’s just not fair. Ik you can leave a bad review on their market profile. But a thread is the first place a lot of people look before buying a product / service.
I go through pages and pages of a sales thread before buying anything.

The counter to this would be, that a bad review could be considered sales trashing? I know the negative review by Kaoru Hanayama on Cooligan MM thread got deleted.

Plus I don't know how many people read through pages of replies.

People see contract customers they want to see their response before potentially wasting their money. That’s the point.

Except its not just AMG that does this. He was the most obvious example when this thread was made at the time.

I’d go out of my way to not purchase from someone who closes their thread if I’m being honest.
This isn't a policy violation.

That said, my personal opinion is that sellers who do this often have problems with their product or service. It's a sign to stay away in my opinion.

Totally agreed, although it’s not a Violation I steer clear of anyone doing this.

New users don't even recognize that the thread is closed lol
