Relevance of Security+/Network+ in terms of offensive security / pentesting?

I'm just another developing tech, I have some certs but when I look at CompTIAs objectives for Security+ and Network+ it describes a lot of networking and security concepts and hands on hardening of systems. I'm looking to get into pentesting and making my own code based on vulnerabilities I may find out there. What concepts, tools, and languages should I familiarize myself with if I want to go down this path? Thanks in advance.
Network+ is foundational. I think you need a solid grasp of networking, but I wouldn't say that you need Security+ to take Pentest+.
