Cashapp "Refunding" question

I don't know where else to ask this.
I've contacted their shitty support and they couldn't really answer anything.

I've known this person for a year, and they pay me on cashapp for code work and small other tasks.
Sometimes $10, sometimes $60, and sometimes $250 just varies.

Needless to say, I got a notification from Cashapp yesterday + a phone call while at work from a 800 number.
Cashapp notification said I'm "refunding" a payment because the payment was disputed.
When I spoke to support all they could inform me is the payment was disputed by their bank. I asked my friend and they said they didn't open dispute and offered to give me the $60 in cash to reimburse as I use cashapp as my actual bank for my paychecks etc.

Will this get my account closed the dispute - asking so I know if I should look to open a real account.
What info would they be calling me for about?
and do/should I be worried about the other payments? He's sent me countless payments in the last few months and this is magically the only one that has been disputed out of all of them..
Sounds like a fake phone call. Banks and apps are highly unlikely to call you. If it's important, they'll mail you a paper letter. If it's only sort of important, you'll get an email.
Was the $60 within this past week and are the others not?

$60 was sent to me 2 weeks ago.

They sent me $10-$30 payments before that that aren't "Refunding"
They sent me payment of $250 last week that so far hasn't said "Refunding" either.

They showed me their cashapp and had sent multiple payments out around the time of the $60 coming to me, and since then as well and nothing is showing refunding for them excluding the $60 payment.

Tells them they will have a refund by Thursday *tomorrow*..

I'm assuming the 800 number was probably to try getting information about the person, or to tell me I have no balance and a dispute coming.

Again, financial institutions will never call you about a potential issue and request information. Obvious scam if it requested any type of personal info.
Stated above. Credit card companies will contact you if a suspected fraud under your account. Some cases it’s automated some are an actual human. They have gotten pretty good on not having to ask you for personal information in order to verify you. Not too long ago I got a call from “Amazon” saying that I purchased an iPhone 14. Then it wanted me to press a number to speak to a representative. Basically they were trying to have me connect to an “Amazon server” in order for them to cancel the order. I played along until they were frustrated with me.
Did you see the money in your cash app go away, or do you currently have a negative balance?

The person gave me $60 to put into my account - which hasn't came out, on their end it says "This payment should've been refunded yesterday" or some shit. (Basically, still on the refunding loop)

I would take it out and have it be transfer to your bank account, and not use square cash until it's resolved. If it's being refunded, the app/company will do it for you automatically in their own system.
They will never ask you to manually do it on your own.
