It's 4AM right now, but I went to go see Avatar: The Way of Water at 8PM and the movie was three hours and twelve minutes. It kept me on the edge of my seat and I really enjoyed the plot. I can hardly even remember watching the first Avatar movie which was released in 2009. I'm glad I saw the second movie in theatres considering it was 3D and that was an exciting factor as well. Have you seen the new Avatar movie or just the first one?
I didn't even watch the first one, but I'm wondering whether you think it will pass the 2 billion USD mark in sales so it can break even?
I haven’t seen the new one yet but for some reason it seems boring and an exact repeat of the first one. Was it worth the watch you think?

That's a really good question, and in my opinion I think it will break even and profit. Even though people just aren't actively going to movie theatres like they were ten years ago. The original Avatar grossed 2.922 billion USD and was highest-grossing science fiction film of all time. I think it's doing OK so far "the sequel earned $134 million from North American theaters and $300.5 million internationally for a $434.5 million global debut". It's still got a long way to go before it breaks even.

I think it was worth the watch, but then again I had the chance to watch a cam version of it at my house and I saw how long it was (and the quality) and was like no thanks. 3H 12M is a long time for a film, but it was 3D and a Cinemark experience so it was worth it to me.

Well, so far the ratings are better for sequel on IMDB!
I might watch the first part honestly and wait for sequel to hit the streaming platforms

It was worth watching for sure. I'm not big on going to theaters myself, but it was something family wanted to do so I enjoyed it and didn't have much on the schedule at the moment. I usually just stream things at the house.
Nice I'm planning on watching it with my girlfriend to who is a big fan of avatar. So she will be the judge if it was good or not :D

Hell yeah brother! Hope you see it soon would love to read about your opinion of it.
It was okay. I definitely enjoyed the first one more, especially for it's time.
This one felt like the story was all over the place, still enjoyable tho.

I've never really been a super fan of avatar but I got my hopes up right now. She's been talking about it everyday fr. Better be worth my money haha.

Yeah I would suggest going to watch it in 3D so you get the full cinema experience.

Yeah, I was a little older and was blown away by the first one. Honestly call recall the whole story, and only watched it once.
I saw it in 3D last weekend, and I thought it was an awesome movie from start to finish. The visuals were incredibly aesthetically pleasing, and I enjoyed the story. I only saw the first Avatar once and didn't remember much from it, but I can definitely say I enjoyed this new one more.
Definitely a movie worth going to the theaters to see. I'm going to go and see it again soon but in an IMAX theater.

I don't really know the difference between IMAX and 3D, but I know I had to wear my glasses for this movie. I only ever saw the first Avatar once too, but I might rewatch it tomorrow just to refresh my memory.
