I LOVE that it doesn't actually post so it doesnt look spammy, but what's the way to keep it that way and it still appear on the new posts page if there is no new post?
My question is someone JUST used Stanley to bump their post 30 minutes ago, and I see that on the new posts tab. Why don't I have that option anymore?
If it doesn't go on the new posts tab, which im sure 90% of the people buying my shit find me there, it defeats the purpose of bumping in my own personal-use case. I just bought bytes JUST to bump, lol. I hope this wasn't removed.

I just bumped my thread twice and it doesn't show in new posts. Yeah, that sucks.

I suggest anyone who is wondering about why Stanley isn't showing up or any other questions about recent bump changes, to read this thread here:

It's because you're bumping Marketplace threads. If they were threads in normal sections like The Lounge for example, Stanley would show up at the bottom of the thread still. Though there are some threads that are still being bumped with Stanley, maybe some certain Marketplace sections weren't added yet or updated? Not sure on that one.
Example of how the new bumps should work compared to the old (Edge's thread shouldn't have Stanley's bump given the recent changes from what I understand):

Example of how bumps should still look in non-marketplace sections:

Also, threads do in indeed still show up on the New Posts page when they have an actual new post on them. The Marketplace thread bump update doesn't add a new post to the thread, meaning it obviously won't show in the New Posts page. However again in the non-marketplace sections they'll still show on the page since Stanley is still bumping those threads:

I think Stanley is using posts to bump only for Bullup
https://prnt.sc/oN7cVGKBIt_3
For everyone else its invisible bumps so they won't show on New Posts.

Edit: A manual bump made the thread visible in the marketplace again and fixed everything.
Which means the bug lays in bumps through API by using Lionsbumber for example.

When I had posted that I could see it was on top of the list in Premium sellers. But now its gone yeah.

I have to look at the API function for a bump. I didn't make any changes to that code. Doh. Let me see what's up.
EDIT: Please try now to bump from the API. I have adjusted the code.

Saw my marketplace post in new posts today. Think its working.

Wait I thought only your own posts wouldn't bump the thread?
You're saying even if a different member makes a reply to a Marketplace thread, it won't get bumped because of it?
On my end threads are showing both ones that were recently replied to in general whether it's from the OP or another member.

Okay now I'm a lil confused I won't lie lol. I thought I understood this at first but maybe not yet.
Also that happens to me somewhat often actually. I have no idea how many replies I miss out on seeing, that's why it's always good to use the OG way and just check your recent posts for new posts on that thread and scan em real quick.

Stan bumps the post for you to the first page but doesn’t actually post a reply to not look as spammy/shitty.
No actual posting from any user bumps the thread to the front page, it only appears on the new page tab. This is so members can’t either make new accounts to bump (which I think would be odd) or have their friends bump the threads.
Yeah I understand the Stanley part, it won't show any "new" post on that thread in whatever section you're viewing. For example I just bumped my MM thread but the last actual reply was on 1/11/23 and it's now at the top of the section.
However, what you're saying is still confusing lol. If it worked that way then why are those 2 threads in the screenshot I linked above showing on the first page as well then if they're not Stanley bumps?

(Jan 21, 2023 07:20 PM)Bluffer Wrote: This change really doesn't make sense. What is the point of participating in the marketplace here if my recent posts don't bring the thread to the latest posts and paying bytes for a bump doesn't bring it to recent posts?
That's correct. A Marketplace bump will not leave a Stanley post and it will not be in the New Posts search because of that. You will have to make a quality post in your thread if you want it on the New Posts.
