Hi everyone I am here to brag because I have been constructing this trading strategy in my head for a few weeks and on Monday I decided to fire it up and see what happens. First two days were awful and I lost $1000, but the worse part is that all the math was "correct" and I didn't knew what is busting the mechanism. After a bit of refinement and understanding where my mistakes are I managed to close today in the green! I wish everyone fortune in their misfortune ✌

If you do everything right the first time then you've never learned anything. Good to hear you've figured it out and are back in the green.
Nice to meet ya.
That's why backtesting is important!
quack
That's the way my man. Even when you take an L. You find the positive in it and keep on moving. Congrats

Backtesting builds confidence. Forward testing builds psychology and discipline.

What was the issue?
First off, props to you for having the guts to try out your own trading strategy. It takes a whole lot of nerve and I admire that. Losing $1000 right off the bat is tough, no doubt. But you know what they say, sometimes you win, sometimes you learn.
And looks like you've learned something incredibly valuable here. You've spotted the flaws, refined your strategy, and even managed to close in the green. That's impressive!
Remember, every setback is a setup for a comeback. Keep tweaking, keep learning, and keep pushing forward. Here's to more green days ahead. Good luck out there!

The "correct" math turned out to be incorrect when a few new variables have been discovered that I didn't knew about before the test run

I like how you think
Many people get very angry when they lose money and they stop keep going on the business
The people who succed endure a lot of failures ,lose money etc until they found the goldmine
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS MEMBER
Well that’s one way to deal with a loss

Well done!. Never give up!
So it turned out that the math was not correct. I didn't understand what I'd done wrong on Etsy to lose $10 then I finally figured out that I'd forgotten about opting into ads that cost 15%.
