I'm looking for a developer for a project that I have thought of. It would be a rather long term project but no rush so it can be worked on around other projects that you have. Ideal for someone who is looking for a side project.
A bit of background, I'm a full time employed pen tester in the UK who specialises in web applications.
I'd like to create a learning/training ground for new testers that goes beyond the typical 'capture the flag' type rooms like tryhackme and hackthebox.
It will have a membership model and those who pay will have access to training material, support and best of all, the training platform. The training platform will need to be made like a real genuine company website, have features like login/registration, user editing, interaction, potentially a payment method. The website would be insecure and host multiple realistic vulnerabilities that you'd find in real life pen tests. Once they've found issues, they will then raise the issues into a tracker and submit a report which I would check over and give feedback on. The idea is users would pen test the website as they would a bounty platform or a pen test job, giving them real life practice.
Eventually it could expand into setting up insecure mobile apps, infrastructures, networks etc. Along with competitions and a community to interact with
I'm not a developer and whilst I briefly know enough code to read through it, I couldn't make anything. This is where you come in. Obviously graphics etc I'd get sourced elsewhere.
Looking for someone with reasonable hourly prices and it could be a fun thing to work on. I don't have loads of money up front but maybe we could work some sort of pay as you go? So when I have £300 or so then you can do that amount of work until I have some more money etc?
Please take the time to read this all. Ideally looking for established members.
