So many sites have timers or countdown timers to certain releases or drops. Wondering if there's is a way to scrape these timers from the sites too be able to track these release dates elsewhere?

Any ideas would be hugely appreciated.

Is there some do-it-all script that can handle every site? No. But you can probably find a way to scrape the countdown for each individual site.

If the countdown timer is always in expected spots then you can just webscrape. If you don't have coding experience its obviously harder, but if you watch tutorials you can figure it out from scratch. You would have to also understand a bit of HTML because you are parsing through HTML code to find the right divs and/or tags

This was my thought. I'm just thinking if there was any way that it could be generalized to something as simple as, add link to have the timer scraped off of the site; just for one spot to track multiple different drops or anything with a countdown timer really?

This is exactly where I thought this'll get complicated cuz the goal isn't to just snag the timer from just ONE website. Its too see if its possible to take it from really any website.
