Gotta educate yourself somehow.
Not to say if hes resourceful enough he can do it for free online, but lets be honest somewhere along the way educations going to cost money.

If he is a student he should know, that you need to Demonstrate a willingness and enthusiasm to learning before anyone's going to go out of their way to help you.
