I want an extra phone, an Android, for the purposes of a "hacking" phone that I can play around with.

Any suggestions for what phone to buy? Should be able to receive updates for a few years, so I can practice Android app reverse engineering, and maybe put Nethunter on it.

Supported phones are here for Nethunter: https://www.kali.org/get-kali/#kali-mobile

Nethunter seems to be a sort of dual-boot solution? Anyone got any experience with it?

my advice would be to buy an ultrabook or get a pixel phone with grapheneos.
