You've been scammed. You were probably sold a stolen phone. I would contact Apple and see if they can do anything.

there is no way to unlock it?
A few guys hitting me up with PMs with guaranties to unlock for a few bucks.. pretty suspicious I most say.

A friend got FB scammed on a watch. Between contacting FB and PayPal he was finally refunded after about 3 or 4 months. I'd go ahead and get started on a dispute with everyone that was involved in the transaction (FB, paypal, etc). I could be wrong but I think Apple won't do anything. You can try if you show enough proof that you bought it.

Never make a payment to any HF user without a contract in the Marketplace. You should report those users. It would have to be unlocked from the actual owner's iCloud.

1. Jailbreak it.
2. Downgrade IOS version to lowest as possible.
3. Look for open "CVE" POC of your IOS versions to bypass iCloud lock.

The IPhone X isa pretty cheap and old phone, so you likely could jailbreak it and go back in time with the updates and do something there. Otherwise replace the main board with one on ebay.

Had the same issue, tried with elcomsoft ios forensic toolkit (which is kind of expensive). It gives you almost everything you’re looking for except icloud data… I don’t think it’s currently possible to get into icloud since it uses 2FA anyway, anyone offering you solution is most likely a scammer.
