I have CenturyLink for internet and using their modem which is a Zyxel C4000LZ. Im not looking to block content Im just wanting to see websites visited. I enabled website history but VPNs are being used I assume because whats listed as sites visited arent actual websites. So I need some help. I can navigate the router page just fine but I need to be advised as to what to use and steps to change the settings so I am able to see whats going on. It's not that I want to spy, it's a case of issues with school, other kids and possibly some other things. They're 16 and 17. As much as I wish I could view texts and apps used etc. thats obviously impossible because I dont have their login information and cant unlock their phones. I know I cant protect and shelter them their whole lives but if I can prevent something bad happening I would. Their father provided their phones and pay the bill and just not in support of some level of visibility. I'm just a worried mother sitting over here and pay attention to red flags. The devices in the home used are iPhones and Androids. Not looking for parenting advice and I don’t mean for that to sound rude. Also can someone tell me how on earth to change the overlapping of the tables on the router page? Ive tried different browsers but cant figure out how to fix it or post a picture of what I mean.
Probably the wrong area. View sites visited home network. |

Unfortunately the demanding them to unlock won't work. Their "father" paid and pays the bill. So really anything I do or suggest he goes against. I could say the sky is blue and he will urge that it's purple. The spyware option is something I can't afford but at least I have a cut and dry answer as to if I can do anything.
i think maybe this can be something to look at for you https://www.fortinet.com/support/support...-filtering

Dyne is one of the top hackers here, but I agree that you don't need spyware on their phones. The father sounds like a poor excuse for a man (to put it nicely). I don't know anything about Zyxel (and you won't catch me using a rented router), but you can try blocking the VPNs and port 853 in the firewall. I would also sign up for OpenDNS Home, instead of built-in browsing history. I think that you're doing better as a parent than if you didn't care at all. |
