Hello guys,

I have a problem with AMD driver timeout crashes when playing video games, particularly Dota 2 and CS 2. https://prnt.sc/GzmYR_0HpLq7

The problem started occurring around early September when the screen freezes randomly, and then after about 10 seconds or so, I can alt+tab and end the task manually via task manager and reconnect, which is the only way to get back into the game.

If somebody can help me with this, it would be really appreciated.

Please, don't give me solutions like "update BIOS, reinstall drivers, disable MPO, disable fast startup", because I have tried everything software-wise, and even reseated my RAM kits and GPU, but it's still not working.

All the solutions you can find here I have already tried.

What is the exact driver version you are using?

If we're talking about the GPU driver, I'm using the latest one, 23.12.1. https://www.amd.com/en/support/graphics/...rx-6900-xt

Honestly, you are better off RMA'ing the GPU if you can't solve this via software and have exhausted your attempts over the past numerous driver versions. I don't see a solution here.

Unfortunately, it just happened again.

Here in my country RMAing your card is an exhausting process itself. It usually takes 1-2 months, and there might be a chance they won't accept it as it's probably software-related.

I hope there will be drivers that can solve this in the future, or else I'm going to RMA it.
