Scraping Instagram Stories

Hey guys :)

Im working on an Instagram scraper using python and Instaloader, and after a day or two my accounts are getting logged out / blocked for automated actions.
I use multiple accounts with real browser sessions and matching proxies + user agents to each of them, and using them in rotation to download stories of specific users im interested in, so I dont think the infrastructure is what raising the flags.

I understood that Instagram limits the requests that can be sent to the api, is there a way to limit Instaloader to match thir rules? Or any other way you can think of to stop my accounts from getting flagged?

Thanks in advance 🙃

How fast are you polling in requests? Maybe have a unique IP per account.

I noticed the same by using an account from 2 phones and a browser. If its only logging you out it might fix after a day or two, if it starts asking for verification when you try to log in then its more like a shadow ban.

If you want to download stories from the people you follow you could use selenium+any chrome extension that download stories to mass download them from the same site. (Ex:StoriesHub. Stories App)

My vote goes to Selenium, but OP did say they are using real browser sessions. You had mentioned the API use though - are you pulling data from an API, or using a real user simulated browser?
make a script that make request in lower volume with a random timer to look more human , and if you want to change ip make the data pass trough a proxy or a vpn
a proxy or a vpn could solve
Well actually i was doing the same as ppl usually do. Multi-accs, taking care of changing "pattern"... and so on and its just logic no? Well actually i made a bot based on http request and cookies decryption. I was coding and testing my code on a long period of time and whatever i did it was completely passing under the radar. No proxy, no multi accs... i was just litterally "working on my bot". I made some errors that left the bot scraping/liking/commenting like crazy and i didnt get even one ban!!! at this point i dont understand.... I guess that scaling a couples of "genuine" accs to the max dont raise alarms as multi-accs with prox do.

some things i learned by the time. ig said they are blocking results over 200... well they actually block you but with really lazy methods easily bypassed. They also claim that they limit the amount of request... not really lolll

i code in c# if ppl need help with private api just ask...

last thing, avoid selenium, playwright, puppeteer, its pretty impossible to hide completely prints from controlled browser

last thing
