College is largely unnecessary. The reason college exists is because of education inflation
because education is decreasing in quality you require more years to achieve the same just like needing more and more dollars to buy a product.
increasing the quality of education would mean a person spends fewer years in school and money is saved.
Fun fact, I have only completed the basic school (9y on the bench) and I still earn 5-6 times more thant he average person in my position. I mean sure, education has its sides but from what I have seen it seems to degrade everywhere. In some places you can't get homework for two different subjects for the same day nor can you have two tests the same day or even several tests in one week. Makes no sense to me, and the teachers, well, they have no power what so ever over the kids either...it's gonna be a horror show when my kiddo starts studying D:

Honestly, most jobs these days just require that you know someone in the field to make good money. Basic education is all you'll need when you have connections

Indeed, even tho there's fields where some papers are required, like doctors. Gotta say tho, I'm considering to go back to school for a while to become an "official" mechanic, I have been repairing my cars for as long as I can remember but I know there's still tons of things that would be good to know n learn.
In my opinion, schools are good for 2 things:
1) Getting recognized officially as a qualified for a certain job
2) Having the opportunity to find new friends and to enlarge your friendship circle.
As for the learning part, what you can learn in schools, you can learn by yourself.
Dont agree , every step is important in its time , you cant say babies can eat meat and they dont need milk , that is funny , you need abcs to reach more education grades

i actually 100% agree with this its better to spend that time learning a useful skill and building up your work experience.
