Legitimate oversight? iPhone surveillance

Hello,

It's been a while since I've posted around here but I lurk a lot and I've always found good information.

I'm not that into mobile stuff, certainly not up-to-date with everything so I'm hoping you guys can provide me with a quick shortcut to the info and spare me the accompanying research.

My nephew is right around the age that some parental supervision style tools are needed for his online activity, on his phone specifically. He's a great kid but his current direction with some of the groups he hangs out is cause for concern and we'd like to get a handle on it since he's starting to lie about serious issues. Therefore, consider being proactive and getting ahead of the game if need be.

He's using an iPhone XR currently, on the latest supported iOS version, and, naturally, I can gain physical access to it.

Is there any software, preferably legitimate, that can be installed and be used as surveillance/parental overwatch/phone access on demand? Remotely or otherwise locally with logs being checked say once a week or such. Obviously should be oblivious for him, since they're so smart in this day and age I wouldn't want him to catch on or be able to see/remove it.

Nothing fancy, simple screenshot on a timer would be enough, at the lowest, while at awesome-to-have level would be: sms/iMessage acces/log, the phone log (dialled/received) and such.

I'd appreciate any info that would point me in the right direction.

Thank you and happy new year since we're quite still freshly in it ✌
