interestingly we do now. bonding is great. not when i was way younger though. we could never last over 5mins in a room together. petty mistakes would suddenly turn into heated argument lol.

My relationship with my parents is very good. They’re divorced but i see them both every week!

I do have a great ties with my parents but sad to say that my Dad have past away for almost 6 yrs now.

My Mom is living with my Aunt on our family house with my 2 siblings. 😎

My parents divorced when I was young. My dad always made sure to do his best, while my mom tried to keep me away from him. As I got older I became aware of this and it really made me drift apart from my mom. So much so that I ended up going to live with my dad around the age of 12-13. Legally I was able to make this decision myself in the courts eyes.

That was many moons ago tho, I have a great relationship with both my parents. Maybe slightly rocky growing up. But I would do anything for either of them at the drop of a hat. Love them to death. And the older you get the more you learn to appreciate the little things they do and did.

yep! i do they live about 500 miles away but i visit as much as i can and talk with them both on the phone as well! love your parents!

My relationship with my parents is split since my parents are divorced. I have had zero contact with my father for the past several years now. I am extremely close to my mom. I am an only child and her and I do lots of things together and I value that very much. My father and I just don't have anything in common. We are the complete opposite and there is no connection between us. There are also incidents that have happened in the past which make me not want to even put effort in to try and force a connection.

Yes I absolutely have a fantastic relationship with my parents. It wasn't always this way.. My parents were super strict, perhaps a bit toooo strict. But as I got older, they became more chill. :p

i think i realized that as well the older i get the more of a bond i build with them and realize everything they did for me was for the best!

Totally agreed. Not to mention that my parents were raised by super strict parents who were kinda forced into the workforce, little education and so on.. Was brutal in the earlier years hahaha. Glad they turned out great and I'm glad they are happy to have me here almost rent free while I build financial success.
