This really depends on what you want to do.

If you're looking to do web hacking/pentesting: python, ruby, js, SQL

If you're looking more into cracking, you'll want C++, Rust, Assembly.

thanks 🙂
IMO python is most the useful and practical. It is easy to learn as a first language because it is easy to read. It has a ton of support and great community to help with questions. Personally, I use python all the time for system automation/scripting. "Blackhat Python ver 2" is a great book that focuses on real world use cases for python in hacking/pentesting. Check it out.

I second this, python is a very good way to go. Lots of documentation and users. Versatile with innumerable use cases.

I would say start out in .NET and work your way up from there, as some of the other languages can be a bit intimidating at first.

python is very smart tool and it helps u a lot to brute or lure deep into hacking stuff and tools
Python first—every major tool (Scapy, Impacket, pwntools, sqlmap) is written in it and the syntax is beginner-friendly.
Bash next—you’ll live in the terminal, so scripting quick loops/grep chains is daily life.
Then pick one low-level language: C for buffer-overflow work or Go for fast, static binaries.
JavaScript matters too once you hit web apps (XSS, CSRF, prototype pollution).
Learn those four and you can read/extend 90 % of public exploits.
Python would be a good start. Can't go wrong with some good ole python
